Spring is around the corner. When I think of spring I think of bright green grass, sunny yellow daffodil and forsythia blooms. So even though the temps outside are in the single digits today, I'm envisioning spring by dressing up my mantel with sunny yellow and green elements.
I cleaned up an old wreath with sunny golden pears and bright green leaves and re-used a picture frame from my Christmas decor by removing the print. I like the way the white creates balance and adds a nice backdrop for the wreath.
Reindeer moss topiary flank the framed wreath. Details on how to make the topiary can be found here.
Around here forsythia blooms are everywhere during spring so I placed silk blooms in a tall vase. They almost look real but we have several weeks before I can hope to see the real thing.
An old box, some birds and a glass jar with speckled eggs complete the scene.
I'm feeling spring. Are you feeling spring? What are your decorating plans?

Patti, I love how cheerful your mantel is and the touches of gold. We just got dumped with snow here in PA today, so Spring feels so far away!
I would love if you would stop by my blog on Monday's and link up in the Something To Talk About link party!

Thanks Karen! I'll check it out.

Your mantle is so pretty! Living is Wisconsin, your yellow and green theme would be very popular : ). But, seriously, I enjoyed seeing your pop of spring color as there is more fresh snow in my yard : (.

Hi Susan,
Too funny. I'm glad the color scheme can do double duty in Wisconsin. Here it would have to be Black & Gold. 😉
Thanks for your kind words and have a great day my friend.
